The seat of the kneeling chair is tilted at a 120° angle instead of the usual flat 90° you’re used to. This open angle pushes your hips forward and places you in an upright seated posture. Your core will engage and most of the pressure will be taken off your lower back.
The separate knee cushions give you the freedom to switch up your leg positions. The ability to rock keeps your core continually engaged and keeps your wiggles away.
The addition of the backrest provides additional support, and is perfect for kneeling chair newbies.

I love it and I hate it. I love the look and style and the cushions are thick and comfy but it tilts too far forward and it's loose and wiggly. I've only used it twice for like 5 mins at a time. It's always been that way and I'm starting to think I might have made a mistake in the type of chair

Assembly instructions were not clear and could have been presented in a more straightforward way. Video would have helped (you only have one for the chair without a back). The pegs don't fit cleanly in the holes, the whole thing is somewhat wobbly, I have a metal tube-like piece that I don't know what to do with. the chair is set to lean so far back that it is bad for my back so I have to stuff something under it to keep it from tilting so far back but that makes it very difficult to reposition it. and my shins ache after not very long. I wish I had spent more money and gotten the Verio.

I like the chair and the design. I've found that the knee pads and the back rest are loose and need to be retightened occasionally. I don't want to over torque the screws, so this is quite annoying.

This is my 2nd kneeling chair and this one is so much better than the previous one (which was made by another company). Besides the great back rest which the top sits right beneath my shoulderblades comfortably perfectly, and the spillstop (I forgot the name of it) which keeps me so balanced and steady when I lean back, this kneeling chair is built so much more sturdy than the previous one. No creaking or wobbling; it feels so strong. The only problem I seem to have is not related to the chair at all (just a pre-existing out of place pelvic twist in my bone structure and when I wear my long johns and sit in the chair, it's uncomfortable, but that's the case with any chair and that material). The seat cushion is firmer than I thought. Anyway, I recommend this chair to anyone.

Love it! I've waited nearly thirty years to have a kneeling chair so I am ecstatic! Only one note: as a larger person I require a little more room on the seat in order to not be shoved forward by a weird center of balance. A longer knob/screw to attach the backrest to the base with a better spacer to go over that bolt could help solve that issue. Otherwise I am over the moon! Thank you!

I have the original Austin with no back already, which took a couple weeks for me to warm up to and is now my favorite chair. When I needed a second one for another desk set up, I decided to try the East Austin with the addition of the back rest. I think this chair is the best of both worlds and such a good idea! Whether you're easing in to Sleekform's design or just wanting more options for ergonomic seating, this chair is the way to go. You can balance and use your core, but also take a load off and relax into the back rest.

I am happy with my purchase. It instantly helped my back pain (like by 90%) and is a great total and permanent replacement for my office chair. I wish I had bought a kneeling chair years ago. I like that with the East Austin model there is no risk of leaning too far back and toppling over. Only complaints so far: 1) The directions for putting it together are god awful, key steps and directions are omitted. 2) The way the knee pads attach to the frame seems a tad flimsy. Not super worrisome but just be careful, I can imagine that putting to much pressure on the edge of a knee pad could cause it to crack/break off the frame. 3) This chair is still made in China, and the cushions are not as high quality as I would have liked, but are acceptable. The foam isn't super m thick, it's still soft for right now but is also firm. The texture of the fabric is also not ideal but whatever. Pleasantly surprised despite all this.
