Active sitting is a great way to stay focused if you're prone to fidgeting. It's enormously helpful with maintaining productivity throughout the day.
Open Hip Angle.
Due to the 70° angle of the seat cushion, when you place your weight onto your sit bones the chair gently tilts your pelvis forward encouraging a natural upright posture. This posture engages your core muscles eliminating pressure on your spinal discs, back and shoulders.
What About My Knees?
Don't be fooled by the term "kneeling chair". When sitting in the Austin the majority of your weight remains in your buttocks and any weight in your legs is placed on your shins. This allows you to be able to sit in this position all day long without any pain or discomfort in your knees.

HERE'S SOME OF OUR FAVORITE CUSTOMER REVIEWS OF THE AMSTERDAM.
"I've had a couple of other kneeling chairs, so I thought I knew what to expect with this. My biggest complaint for the others was that after extended periods of sitting, I noticed that I'd get uncomfortable and my posture starts slipping. The rocker legs on this one have completely changed that. Now, I can make small adjustments quick and easy and that has made the entire experience better. I can sit comfortably much longer.
Also, the padding on this is exceptional. A lot of other kneeling chairs use half the amount as this one. They're good enough at first, but doesn't take long to feel the frame. This one is going to last a lot longer as a result, and get used more often too.
I had some reservations about it not being adjustable, but everyone in my house has tried this out and loved it. Very different heights and weights all enjoyed this chair. No adjustments needed. I would also guess that will give this chair more longevity since it isn't being switched around a lot and doesn't have all those possible points of failure as some of the adjustable versions do.
All around great product and company. Highly recommend this to anyone who is considering it." Jimmy, January 2018
"Works great I have a herniated L4 L5 disc. A chair like this was recommended by the back specialist. I bought a non rocking one for work first, (it has four wheels). It doesn't have the right slant when kneeling and my knees hurt after a while. I bought this one for home because its the older style rocking chair. I really enjoy that feature. It's the older style that made the kneeling chair famous. I sit in it in my living room and watch TV. With a herniated disc it's much more comfortable than slouching on my couch. The padding is thick and much easier on the knees. The rocking allows gravity to tilt you in proper proportions so your back is straight and the pressures proper on the knees. It's a hundred times better than the one I have at work. My adult children have tried to take it home for themselves. I tell them to go by their own this one's mine." Kelly, January 2018
